TechSmith has postponed<\/strong> the release of Snagit 2025 and Camtasia 2025 to January 2025<\/strong>. This extends the period during which the products can still be purchased as a perpetual license with a maintenance contract. The costs for a renewal will be significantly lower than the full subscription price for at least the next five years. <\/p>\n\n

TechSmith is changing the licensing form with the release of Snagit 2025 and Camtasia 2025.\nWe have compiled all the important information for you. <\/p>\n\n

Previously, the products could be purchased as a perpetual license with a maintenance contract.TechSmith is switching the licensing model to subscription from autumn.\nIf your customers decide to upgrade to a license under maintenance<\/strong> by October, they will receive access to a subscription license<\/strong> in the autumn and will therefore not have to conclude a new contract from 01.10.2024. <\/p>\n\n

If there is no active maintenance contract<\/strong> at this time, these customers will no<\/strong> longer receive a subscription<\/strong> and therefore no new version<\/strong>.\nAccess to versions that have already been purchased for an indefinite period will be retained. <\/p>\n\n

Customers with a subscription model are not affected by this change.\nExisting customers with an active maintenance contract can still purchase perpetual licenses until 2025. <\/p>\n\n
