Licensing

Licensing with Nakivo

Both perpetual and subscription-based licenses are available.

Licensing is based on:

Virtual: per socket/workload
Physical: per server / workstation / workload
Microsoft 365: per user (annual billing)
NAS/File Shares: per terabyte (TB)
IT monitoring for VMware: per socket/workload
Real-time replication for VMware: per socket/workload
Oracle databases: per database
Trade-in: per CPU socket/workload

Possible editions:

Pro Essentials: Same range of functions as Pro, but limited to 6 sockets or 50 machines/organization
Pro: basic range of functions, any number of licenses can be purchased
Enterprise Essentials: Same range of functions as Enterprise, but limited to 6 sockets or 50 machines/organization
Enterprise: extended range of functions, any number of licenses can be purchased
Enterprise Plus: full range of functions

License limits per customer for Enterprise Essentials and Pro Essentials:

Virtual: Maximum of 6 units (6 sockets) per order
Physical server: Maximum 10 units (50 servers) per order
Physical workstation: Maximum 30 units (150 workstations) per order
NAS: Maximum 50 units (50 TB) per order
For a combination of virtual and physical servers, workstations or NAS: Maximum 30 units per order

Minimum order quantity: 10 users per customer
Can be purchased together with any other edition (Pro Essentials, Enterprise Essentials, Pro, Enterprise, Enterprise Plus)
Can be combined with any license type (perpetual and per-workload subscription)
When combined with the perpetual license, the support end date of the perpetual license and the Microsoft 365 subscription license must be aligned
